The Green Economy – True Sunny Ways
On this sunny Sunday morning in August, as I sip my coffee on a veranda surrounded by verdant space and chirping birds, I offer a few thoughts on the state of our society and the path forward.
We in the Maritimes are bombarded by negative messages from our local media sources about how dire the state of our economy is and how our standard of living is at the lower end of the spectrum compared to our sister provinces to the west. Although there is some truth to this, most of it is opinion. It is a perspective that is being pushed by some and, unfortunately, adopted by many. But other more positive perspectives are just as legitimate. We just don’t hear those voices as much, for some reason. Consider this perspective: We live in a beautiful area of the world blessed with bountiful natural resources. We live relatively uncluttered lives compared to the mega states and provinces of the eastern seaboard.
This is important because a new economy is in the making, one that values nature and those areas of the world that are capable of integrating new high tech infrastructure. But don’t take my word for it. Click on the link below to get the perspective of a tireless and talented advocate for the green economy.
