Facts: Client charged with criminal harassment.  Client accused of stalking and intimidating her ex-boyfriend by driving by him at various locations in the community.
Verdict: Not guilty
Reasons: Complainant not credible.  Complainant annoyed mostly by client’s rude gestures.

Drug Offences

Facts: Client charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (PPT) cocaine, marihuana, and codeine. Police followed client's car from known drug trafficker's residence to a service station. Unmarked police cars cornered client's vehicle. Client panicked and put car in reverse, striking police cars. Client and passenger arrested. Small quantities of drugs found in vehicle and on occupants. At trial, Crown Prosecution tried to prove quantities of drugs were consistent with drug trafficking. Defence called its own expert to counter the Crown's expert.
Outcome: Crown offered to resolve the matter with possession charges and fines instead of PPT and jail.

Sexual Assault

Facts: Client charged with sexual assault. Client accused of fondling young woman's breasts while embracing her in a public place.
Verdict: Not guilty
Reasons: Complainant's version of events contradicted by Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) of the public place. Complainant said she was approached by client and that she was wearing light clothing. Video revealed she went towards client and initiated the embrace. She was also seen wearing a winter jacket.
